Nominate a senior, loved one, or retirement community in Edmond for volunteer dog walks and companion visits. Silver Paws is offered quarterly based on service area, volunteer availability, and team capacity.
Beginning in September 2026, Silver Paws will operate as a quarterly, capacity-based and service-area-based program. Each quarter, Urban Tails™ will review nominations and select one or more nominated seniors and/or retirement living communities to receive volunteer dog walking support and companion visits, based on program capacity, neighborhood, ZIP code, volunteer availability, and Urban Tails team coverage.
Nominations are welcomed on a rolling basis, but submission of a nomination does not guarantee selection or services. To keep visits safe, reliable, and local, nominees must be located within Urban Tails™’ current service area.
Every Silver Paws visit is designed to bring companionship, support, and meaningful moments that enrich the lives of seniors and their beloved pets.
Selected nominees may receive volunteer dog walking support to help keep dogs active, cared for, and loved.

Younger volunteers join dedicated Urban Tails™ team members to create safe, meaningful visits that connect generations.

Silver Paws is designed for retirement living and senior living communities. It is not intended for memory care-only facilities.
